Shanghai Telephone Tower

Project Information

JWDA won the commission for this project through an invitation-only international design competition.  The 268,000 SF Shanghai Telephone Company Regional Headquarters occupies a small but prominent site on Beijing Road in the Jin An Commercial District in Shanghai, China.  The form of the building developed in response to the site and program.  The resulting dynamics of the tower’s form conveys an architectural exuberance that reflects modern China and the vibrant street life of the Jin An District.  This 22-story tower includes office space, a Data Center, Network Operations Center, Exhibition Area and Business Services Area.
