Project Information

The Monsaraz San Diego, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is a new boutique hotel in Point Loma that was inspired by the Portuguese hilltop town of Monsaraz, while crafted to honor the local coastal culture of San Diego.  Its contemporary architecture, close proximity to downtown and the San Diego Bay, and mixed hospitality and commercial uses meld together to create an immersive and welcoming destination for locals and guests to enjoy.

As Point Loma’s first new hotel in more than a decade, The Monsaraz offers an architectural precedent of modern hospitality that pairs elevated design with a comfortable setting for community engagement.  The nearly 50,000-SF, three-story hotel offers 92 guestrooms, with guest amenities including a fitness room, sundry shop and sky terrace.  The ground level features a double-height lobby, with shared access to a full-service restaurant and bar that opens up to a 4,000-SF open-air courtyard.  Parking is accommodated by car lift – in a single level below-grade – to optimize the user experience and operations of the hotel while maximizing the development of the site.
