The design organically integrates traditional Eastern garden spaces and the diverse and dispersed elements of a holiday resort to create a localized ‘Modern-Chinese style’ architecture style. To allow the scenery to continuously change as guests progress through the hotel, the structure is based on a series of courtyards interwoven into the landscape. The Chinese and Western restaurants, wine cellar and tea room provides guests with a taste of both Eastern and Western cultures. The aim is to promote the hotel as a destination for travel on the periphery of Shanghai.
