Simone, a 36-story mixed-use residential tower designed by JWDA, was a multiple-award winner at the prestigious 2024 PCBC Gold Nugget Awards ceremony on June 19 at The Westin Resort in Anaheim, CA. Developed by Trammel Crow Residential, Simone was honored as the Multifamily Community of the Year, the Best Multi-Family Housing Community (200 DU/Acre or more), and Best Interior Design of a Multi-Family Community for Common Areas and Spaces.
The Gold Nugget Awards debuted in 1963, and is one of the oldest and most prestigious design award competitions in the nation for innovative architecture, planning, and construction. This year’s panel of industry experts reviewed 675 entries in categories including multifamily, affordable, mixed-use, and recreational facilities, culminating the winning selections. The winners showcased the most compelling design, planning, and building trends from around the globe.
