Monsaraz Celebrates Grand Opening

The Monsaraz Inn, A Hilton Tapestry Collection celebrated its Grand Opening in early June, just in time for the summer season. JWDA provided full architectural services on the project.
Located at 1451 Rosecrans Street in Point Loma, Monsaraz sits adjacent to the Americas Cup Harbor in the San Diego Bay, with easy and convenient access to entertainment and local eateries, and only a 5-minute commute from San Diego International Airport.
The nearly 50,000-SF boutique hotel features 92 guestrooms paired with a comprehensive amenity package including a grand lobby, lounge, sundry, tapas & bar area, fitness room, outdoor garden & deck, office/administrative space and back-of-house facilities.
The design is upscale yet comfortable, with the finishes, color selections and artwork inspired by the quintessential Portuguese fishing village, featuring a modern take of Azulejo hand-painted ceramic tile paired with modern patterned concrete tile applied to both the exterior and interior of the project.
