JWDA Received three Gold Nugget Awards 2012

2012JuneNewsImage3On June 28th, 2012 Joseph Wong Design Associates Inc. received three awards for three diverse projects at the 49th annual Gold Nugget Award design competition, sponsored by the Pacific Coast Builders Conference.

The winning projects were announced on Thursday awards luncheon at the convention in San Francisco. JWDA received the Grand Award for the CIFI Residential Community, located in Shanghai, China under the category of International Residential Project–Attached under 1.0 FAR. This project combines a traditional Chinese housing cluster with Mediterranean architectural style, and creates intimate spaces within the community.

In addition, JWDA received Grand Merit Awards for the Red Flag Resort and Golf Residence (Dalian China), and the John W. Finn Hall Naval Base Coronado Housing Facility (San Diego, CA) under the categories of International Commercial & Special Use Project and Campus Faculty Housing for Institutional Use, respectively.

The Gold Nugget Awards honor creative achievements in architectural design and land use planning for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Entries come from 14 Western states, and international entries are accepted from all countries. Winners share one common denominator: excellence and innovation in addressing complex design/build issues.
