JWDA EDUCATION PROJECT FEATURED IN METAL ARCHITECTURE, AGAIN!

10.2015

NCC_web_003_1733x1095pxJWDA is delighted to announce that a second education project is featured in the October issue of Metal Architecture.   Designed for the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) Continuing Education Program, North City Campus is a recently completed 42,500-square-foot facility that includes general classroom space, computer labs, multipurpose space and administrative offices to support the business technology curriculum.

Metal Architecture highlights the project’s achievements not only in sustainable design but also in its use of modern elements, high-tech features and material application.   JWDA designed North City Campus to exceed the college’s LEED Silver goal, to reflect the building’s use: computer technology training.   Zinc and other materials’ recycled content, low-flow plumbing fixtures, water efficient landscaping and an underground drywell for treating storm water on-site contributed to the project’s LEED Gold certification.
