Joseph Wong, FAIA has been honored as one of the most influential business leaders in San Diego by the SDBJ, for bringing a remarkable impact to our business community and the community at large.

As Founder and President of JWDA Architects, Joe is involved on every project that makes its way to the firm, including high-profile, multi-million-dollar developments in the hospitality and residential sectors.  With a career that has spanned for over four decades, Joe is a highly regarded executive, colleague and friend in the architecture industry with a majority of his work tied locally to San Diego.  He is an active board member of the advisory council at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design and UCSD’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning, Real Estate and Development program.  Joe is a Registered Architect in the state of California, Arizona, Nevada and Washington and was elevated to Fellowship by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 2003, with only 3 percent of AIA members having this distinction.

Joe is serving as Prime Architect on several noteworthy projects including 525 Olive (to be completed 2022); Simone Tower (to be completed 2023); and recently completed Alila Marea Encinitas Beach Resort and Palisade at Westfield UTC.
