CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON EAST VILLAGE’S ALEXAN

Construction has begun on The Alexan: a mixed-use residential development located in the up-and-coming East Village neighborhood of Downtown San Diego. Retained by Trammell Crow Residential, JWDA is providing full architectural services for the project.
Located one block from the Downtown Central Library and two blocks from Petco Park, this 313-unit project is an 18-story luxury residence that will provide a variety of unit types ranging from 459-SF studios to 2,228-SF, two-bedroom penthouses. The contemporary design of Alexan incorporates “loft-style architecture, floor-to-ceiling height windows, plush units equipped with gourmet kitchens, private balconies, walk-in closets and spa-like baths, and attractive amenities throughout.” Expected completion: 2017

Design team includes Nasland Engineering, DCI Engineers, and LandLab Inc. Swinerton Builders is serving as Contractor for The Alexan.
