Atmosphere Topping Off Ceremony

07.2016

A_web_02_1733x1095px_w1JWDA recently joined Wakeland Housing, City Officials, and the local San Diego community in celebrating the topping off ceremony of Atmosphere Affordable and Supportive Housing Development.  Located in the heart of downtown San Diego, Atmosphere will soon be open to families who are looking for a more affordable place to live.  The topping off ceremony represents the halfway mark in the construction phase, with tenants expected to move in by May of next year.

Atmosphere is a 205-unit, 12-story apartment complex, providing individuals with a safe place to call home. “It’s actually two projects in one building. One is for families in search of more affordable housing. The other is for tenants with special needs.”  Common spaces include a community meeting room, computer room and several multi-purpose rooms.  Outdoor passive and recreational spaces are included at ground level as well as a community roof garden on the 8th level.  The project is designed and developed to achieve a LEED Certification of Silver or better.
