Atmosphere hi-Res photoCutting-edge architecture; Boosting Livability.

The recently completed Atmosphere was honored in Our City San Diego as the 2017 Development of the Year in the Best Affordable Housing category. The $62-million project is a catalyst for change in the downtown community, combining the efforts of many to address the problem of homelessness.

Atmosphere is a 205-unit, 12-story apartment complex, providing individuals with a safe place to call home. Fifty-one of the homes at Atmosphere are designated as permanent supportive housing for San Diegans with special needs.  These safe, secure homes are coupled with onsite and off-site services that promote well-being and self-sufficiency.  Common spaces include a community meeting room, computer room and several multi-purpose rooms.  Outdoor passive and recreational spaces are included at ground level as well as a community roof garden on the 8th level.  The project is designed and developed to achieve a LEED Certification of Silver or better.
