2018 SAN DIEGO HOUSING FEDERATION HONORS ATMOSPHERE WITH TOP RUBY AWARD

05.2018

Atmosphere - ExteriorThe San Diego Housing Federation recognized Atmosphere with the 2018 Ruby Award for “Project of the Year” in New Construction.  The $79-million development provides a safe place to call home for a diverse resident population including homeless individuals, families that make 60 percent of the area median income, and youth that are transitioning out of the foster care system.  JWDA provided full architectural and interior design services for this award winning project.

The 205-unit, 12-story apartment complex is comprised of affordable and permanent supportive housing for San Diegans with special needs.  These safe and secure homes are coupled with onsite and off-site services that promote well-being and self-sufficiency.  Common spaces include a community meeting room, computer room and several multi-purpose rooms.  Outdoor passive and recreational spaces are included at ground level and on the 8th level.  The project achieved a LEED Certification of Silver.
