$100 Million Residential Tower ‘525 Olive’ Set to Open in April 2022

Completion is approaching for 525 Olive, a new mixed-use residential tower located in Bankers Hill, north of downtown San Diego. The $100.2 million development is set to open this April with rents starting at $2,440 per month. JWDA was retained by Greystar to provide full architectural services on the project with Jules Wilson Design Studio working on the interior design.

The 20-story tower shares a site with St. Paul’s Cathedral and will include approximately 17,000-square-feet of office and meeting space and 10,000-square feet of ground floor outdoor courtyard to support the cathedral’s ministry to the community. 348 automobile parking spaces are provided in a 5-level underground parking structure including 70 spaces dedicated for cathedral attendees.
The nearly 300,000-SF development includes 204 residential units of which 18 are designated affordable for low-income residents. The unit mix is comprised of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, as well as penthouse suites, and range in size from 533 to 1,625-SF. Tenant amenities include grand lobby and leasing offices, mail room, fitness room including group studio space, lounge and work spaces, a dog run and pet spa with grooming services, and sky deck equipped with a pool, spa and BBQ area.
The project is anticipated to achieve LEED certification for its sustainable design and practices.
