Project Information

Located outside of Shanghai city limits, the Data Center is an autonomous campus with 240,000 square feet of space including a data center, training center, office building, hotel, and central plant.  Six structures are arrayed along an irregularly defined “Main Street” with outdoor living spaces.  The low-rise building masses are punctuated by orchestrated and grid-lined elements accommodating entrances, lobbies, stairs, conference rooms, and other support functions including a dining hall for employees.  JWDA provided full architectural services for this project including planning, programming and design.  Paved trails extend from the buildings into the landscape to serve as outdoor conference areas and public workspaces.  Trees, shrubs, ground covers, and perennials provide seasonal displays of color and texture.
