San Diego, California -- Joseph Wong Design Associates (JWDA) has been retained by Pacifica Companies to provide comprehensive architectural services for the design and construction of the new Grover Beach Lodge and Conference Center located in Pismo Beach, California. The facility is to be designed and certified to the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold-level standards. The complex will takes its cue from Mediterranean influenced Mission-style architecture with colonnades, stuccoed walls, canopies with vines, and deep set windows.
The Grover Beach Lodge will offer 135 suites in three 3-story guest wings, situated around the 1-story conference center and lobby. The main building will accommodate the lobby, lounge, restaurant, conference rooms, spa treatment rooms, and an information center with interpretive displays, detailing the surrounding dune environment and local habitat. The guestroom buildings will be situated perpendicular to the shoreline to preserve view corridors and allow delightful views of the beach and adjacent gold course. Other amenities include a pool and spa for guests and lushly landscaped grounds that will provide native plantings and passive watering to preserve local resources.
