April 2007 JWDA Project Garners Hotel of the Year Award La Quinta, Mexico -- In late February at a national gathering of representatives from the Hilton Hotels/Hilton Garden Inn brand, officials announced annual award winners in a multitude of categories. The winner of the Hotel of the Year title was the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach, located in Carlsbad, California. Each year this prestigious award is only given to the single most outstanding hotel in the entire Hilton Garden Inn system. The hotel ranked above all other 315+ Hilton Garden Inn hotels in loyalty, brand standards compliance, cleanliness, physical condition and overall service. Located on the waterfront in Carlsbad about 20 miles north of downtown San Diego, the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach offers ocean views from most of its 165 guest rooms. Situated on 4.75 lush acres, the three-story structure features California mission-style architecture and original artwork. The hotel was completed in May 2000. In 2006, JWDA worked with the owner on the design and construction of a new banquet/conference facilities building, expanding the existing meeting and conference space for the hotel's growing business. JWDA has completed comprehensive architectural services for many projects for the Hilton family of brands including Hilton Hotels, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Doubletree Hotels, Hampton Inns & Suites, and Hilton Garden Inn.
